SHIELD4KIDS, a nonprofit volunteer organization in Lehigh Acres, has had several benches, built to keep school children safe while they wait for their bus, completely destroyed in the past few weeks.
“Unbelievable. I couldn’t believe that someone would go to that extent to take. Bench completely out of the ground,” explained Karen Ambrose, Volunteer with SHIELD4KIDS. “We’re just trying to help keep the children in the community safe.”
These benches are donated for kids to sit at while they wait for their bus to come, instead of standing out by the busy Lehigh Acres streets.
These benches were put up just seven days ago was completely destroyed.
