Did You Know

Did you know that Florida’s Attorney General, Ashley Moody recently filed a Federal lawsuit against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) guidance that narrows the illegal immigrants prioritized for arrest and deportation?

Since Joe Biden was placed as President this past January, he and his administration have opened the borders allowing of hundreds of thousands of Illegal immigrants to enter the United States through our Southern Border. With 50 million Illegal’s already living in the United States, many Republicans and also our border agents are publicly stating that we have an (uncontrollable) “crisis on our Southern border.”

“You know I’ve been speaking for weeks now and alerting Americans to the fact that this administration is thumbing its nose to its responsibilities under federal law. It is required to deport criminal aliens that are here illegally and it is just saying we’re not going to do it anymore, Attorney General Moody stated while appearing on “Fox and Friends” speaking regarding her lawsuit.

In Moody’s complaint against the Biden Administration, she states regarding Biden’s decision to ignore current Federal Immigration Laws, “This unprecedented, flagrant disregard for public safety of Americans and Floridians is a radical departure from even Obama-era policy. See Ex. 4. The Obama Administration would not have even considered giving aliens who commit domestic violence, burglary, or heroin trafficking a free pass from immigration consequences. Id. At 4-5. But the Biden Administration is doing just that. As one federal official put it, ‘[t]hey’ve abolished ICE without abolishing ICE.’39. The Biden Administration cannot simply order federal immigration officials to ignore the clear commands of Congress.”

What Florida Attorney General Moody has not been providing and did not talk about while on “Fox and Friends” nor in her federal law suit against the Biden Administration, is her lack of legal advocacy, using already existing Florida Laws to help Americans victimized by Illegal immigrants.

Recent Supreme Court decisions regarding Illegal Immigrants no longer fully support deportations. One example is the June, 2020 Supreme Court decision allowing Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals (DACA) to remain in the USA. That decision may very well also bring a fail to Moody’s lawsuit.
