SCAM ALERT….

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno & John Holloway (Chief of Operations at LCSO) have a pretty good scam going to scam people of money directly to them ?? This is disgusting!!!
So, the newest question I have is, where is all the money going?
In March 2019 the nonprofit “Compassionate Cops” was created to collect donations and make bus stops safer for children in Lee County. Lee County Sheriff’s Office donated $20,000, Lee County School District donated $10,000, Fort Myers Rotary donated $25,000, We haven’t found how much b103.9 or the community donated but their ultimate goal was $100,000. Considering the amazing outpour of support from the community over sweet Layla’s tragic death, we can only imagine that they came close to their goal. Yet, here we are a year AFTER students were supposed to have LED lights for their backpacks but they still have nothing.

Again, where is all the money going? Please, show me what changes have been or are being made for our children. Marceno and his supporters say that he cares and “has done so much” for Lee County Students, but no one can say what he has actually done. All I can find is lots of money being handed over to a man that doesn’t have to explain to anyone how he spends it.
The community came together and purchased tables for bus stops, that’s really all I’ve seen so far. Not to mention this “Deputy Dog” program says it’s a non-profit created for the safety of residents and our students. Problem is that it is NOT a non-profit, there is no legal record of it, and when you click “donate” on their website it takes you to Compassionate Cops PayPal.

The main group out there the non profit SW Florida shield and the shield4kids program are the only ones out there making sure the children are safer at the bus stops. I really wish the organizations who donated would consider them at least they are doing what they say and have the heart an soul to make it happen
