
Cristian Alvarado of Lehigh Acres is a sixth grade student at Harns Marsh Middle School.
Harns Marsh Middle school, learning and leadership teacher April Ketron wrote “every day during lunch I sit at a table with our most severe special education students that need help eating lunch. These students are not able to communicate. One day while I was sitting at the table with those students Cristian walked up out of a group of five hundred middle school students and handed me cash and said he wanted to buy ice cream for the students I was sitting with at the table. It was so unselfish and kind to see a student use his own money for good. I believe because of his unselfish behavior and extremely kind gesture exemplifies doing the right thing.”
Angel Majano of Lehigh Acres, is a first grade student at Sunshine Elementary School.
Sunshine Elementary School, first grade teacher Aleida Rivera wrote “Angel should be honored because he is always displaying a positive attitude in the classroom. He has great listening skills and is always willing to lend a helping hand. He like to encourage others to follow the rules and has a great sense of community in our classroom.”
Michael Oreldano of Lehigh Acres, is a first grade student at Sunshine Elementary School.
Sunshine Elementary School, first grade teacher Aleida Rivera wrote “Michael is a very honest, humble, kind and responsible student. He comes to school, each day, with a positive attitude and always encouraging others to be polite and respectful. He has a great sense of community. He is also an active participant in the classroom, making him the perfect role model.”
Audrey Acosta of Lehigh Acres, is a fifth grade student at Sunshine Elementary School.
Sunshine Elementary School, fifth grade teacher Deb Rife wrote “Audrey was being made to feel that she was not wanted in a group that she normally hangs with at school. Instead of allowing the students to get to her and cause bigger problems, she kindly excused herself from the situation and went to work and play with a s student who was alone.”
Davlin Castaneda Luna of Lehigh Acres, is a first grade student at Sunshine Elementary School.
Sunshine Elementary School, first grade teacher Aleida Rivera wrote “Davlin is a very positive role model for other students in the classroom. She loves to help others even though she is very shy. She is always helpful, offering positive affirmation and kindness to her peers. She is a very honest and loving student who is generous to her classmates and friends.”
Nicolas Da Silva of Lehigh Acres is a fourth grade student at Manatee Elementary School.
Manatee Elementary School, fourth grade teacher Cayla Frogge wrote “Nicolas constantly goes above and beyond classroom and school expectations. He exhibits prime leadership and respect to everyone he comes in contact with. He is kind, courteous and an all-around rockstar!”
Kyleigh Brinkman of Lehigh Acres is a fourth grade student at Tortuga Preserve Elementary School. Tortuga Preserve Elementary School, fourth grade teacher Valarie Shough wrote that “Kyleigh had just purchased a holiday bear from our school store when she noticed a kindergarten student crying because she didn’t have enough money to buy a bear. Kyleigh gave her bear to the upset student and asked for nothing in return. I feel that this was a very kind and generous act.”
