Bring your fully charged tablets, phones, e-readers, and other digital devices for a hands-on help session. Please bring any passwords you may need for downloading apps. Kindle users will also need an Amazon account and their password for accessing it.

Writers’ Workshop

East County Craft Club: Duct Tape DIY

Get creative with duct tape. Participants can use duct tape to craft decorative gift bags, lunch bags or purses. All materials will be provided. This program is intended for adults 18 and over. Registration is required.

Receive personalized help and instruction with any computer issues you might be having. Questions about hardware, software, programs and apps will be answered by one of our tech-savvy librarians. Please bring your fully charged tablets, phones, e-readers, laptops or other digital devices for a hands-on help session. Laptops will be available for device non specific issues. Please bring any passwords you may need for accessing your device and the services or applications that you have questions about.
Know the Ten Signs of Alzheimers**

Alzheimer’s and other dementias cause changes in memory, thinking and behavior that interfere with daily life. Join us and learn 10 common warning signs and what to watch for in yourself and others. Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association. Registration is required.

Toddler Tales
10 a.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 14, 21, 28
For ages 18-36 months. This interactive and active time for toddlers and their caregiver is designed to advance prereading and social skills. They’ll experience storytelling, wordplay, felt board stories, fingerplays, puppets, singing, music-making, socializing, dancing and, of course, books.
Baby Rhyme Time
10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 15, 22, 29
For babies up to 18 months. During this special storytime, you and your baby will learn new nursery rhymes and fingerplays, interact with puppets, sing, read books and dance.
Preschool Storytime
10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 23, 30
For ages 3-5. Children attend this program independently while the caregiver waits nearby. Your preschooler will continue to build relationships with other kids, books, and the library in a storytime designed specifically for them. The stories and activities are more complex, but just as fun.
Family Storytime

For children through age 5. Your whole family is invited to this enjoyable, all-ages storytime that encourages the development of prereading skills through songs, rhymes, fingerplays and stories.
STEAM Saturday
2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25
Join us for a family-friendly STEAM exploration. Each month will feature a different activity based on the aspects of STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. This is a great opportunity for parents and kids to build, learn and play together. For school-aged children, ages 5-11.
