Katherine Cujas, 46, and Ronald Cujas, 26, both of North Fort Myers were the fatal victims of the crash.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a truck blew a tire on Highway 82 and was on the side of the road when a second person stopped to assist.
The driver responsible for the crash clipped the rear of the two vehicles on the side of the road then hit two people, killing both.
FHP says a possible description of the vehicle is a red 3500 Dodge pickup truck. Below is an edited photo of what the vehicle may look like based on FHP’s very specific description.
Helicopters are flying near the scene to see if the vehicle was ditched nearby.
Forensics are currently on scene assisting in the investigation.
FHP says Hwy 82 will be closed down for possibly another 2 hours.
