Did you know that Florida State Senator David Simmons is proposing a bill allowing all Illegal aliens living in the State to receive driver’s licenses and work permits? Although surveys show that the majority of Floridians (and indeed most Americans) believe that the Republican Party is the party of “law and order”, we are increasingly learning that more and more Republicans are supporting the idea of supporting allowing Illegal Immigration.

Were you also aware according to a New York Times article, there are approximately 4.6 million illegal immigrants within the U.S. who drive on a regular basis, many of whom without driver’s licenses, and or auto insurance as well as little ability to read road signs written in English? 

Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and all in our Florida State Legislature chose earlier this year to pass a bill into law making all sanctuary cities unlawful. A new law allowing illegal aliens to lawfully operate motor vehicles and become “lawfully” and gainfully employed, would make it difficult to enforce the newly implemented anti-sanctuary law.

All Floridians must decide what kind of State we wish to live in. Bills in our Legislature should be carefully written to ensure the safety and security of all Americans. Surely Floridians should carefully weigh the pros and cons of any bill becoming law which gives entitlements to those who entered our nation outside of lawful means. I would hope all Floridians would count the cost not only financially with allowing drivers licenses and work permits for illegal immigrants, but the social cost as well.
