The final countdown is on for this year’s Walk Like MADD 5K Run/Walk, to be held at jetBlue Park at Fenway South on Saturday, September 28th! This annual event will welcome hundreds of runners and walkers of all skill levels and ages for the unique experience of crossing home plate at the spring training home of the world champion Boston Red Sox. And the time to sign up is now!
Walk Like MADD is a family and pet-friendly awareness and fundraising event, offering both a one mile walk and five-kilometer USATF certified run. After the walk and run, which will begin at 8 a.m., the event will offer exciting activities for the whole family, as well as music and food from local celebrity chefs and restaurants. Deputy Chance and the Deputy Dogs program will also be in attendance at the event for anyone wishing to take photos! Registration fees and other contributions directly benefit victims and survivors of drunk, drugged and substance-impaired driving crashes, as well as funds MADD’s free informational prevention programs here in Southwest Florida.
