Thank you for your patience over the weekend as we have tracked Hurricane Dorian. Based on the location of the storm and the weather effects predicted by the National Weather Service, Lee County schools will be OPEN on Tuesday, September 3rd.
We understand that surrounding counties, like Collier, Hendry, and Glades have closed schools tomorrow, but their geography reaches much further east where the winds are predicted to be stronger.
