The Lehigh Acres Fire Control & Rescue District is pleased to announce that the groundbreaking ceremony for fire station 101 was held Tuesday, July 30th at 1000 Joel Blvd. Station 101 sustained extensive damage during Hurricane Irma in 2017. Since then, it has been out of service with crews operating next door in a temporarily modular trailer.

Station 101 was originally built in 1977 and was the second fire station built in Lehigh Acres. Station 101 has always provided Fire protection/EMS services to our community and the newly constructed facility will greatly advance our ability to protect and serve as well. The existing bays from station 101 will remain in place and the existing hose tower will always be a fixture in our community.
