Copperhead Golf Club is CLOSED

With no notice, the golf club laid off their staff and has closed their doors as of July 8, 2019.

Lehigh Acres Gazette has not been able to reach the owners of the golf club for any other comment expect they are closed.

This is the second golf club that has closed in the last 13 months. Mirror Lakes Golf Club closed June 1, 2018. Leaving Westminster and Majestic Golf Club as 18-hole courses and Lehigh Resort Club with a 9-hole exec course.

  1. Someone will be at the course next week assisting in the final clean out. I was an employee at Copperhead. The owners came in on Friday July 5th, we close Sunday July 7th. The owners are heartless people and horrible people.

    1. Could it be….there are not enough customers to pay the bills. I know plenty of golfers. They dont play in their home town.
If golfers cant support the cost of a club…
It closes. You may feel different if it were your investment and business that was costing more than came in to pay the bills and salaries. Just saying.
      Its a shame.
How long would a restaurant last if no one came in to eat there.?

      1. Closing is one thing but it seems like the way it was handle was very unprofessional. Maybe if most of the population of Lehigh didn’t act like hoodlums then more out of towners would come play

  2. Would really love to know why it closed. Hopefully it reopens under new management as I never got around to playing there

  3. folks can do whatever they want to do with private property, apparently home building is more lucrative than a golf course, If you disagree you are free to buy up acreage and start your own golf course
