Patrick Hensel, 43, of Lehigh Acres, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on each of two counts of First Degree Attempted Sexual Battery on a Child Less than 12, followed by 10 years of sex offender probation. The sentences will be served concurrently. Hensel is also designated, a lifetime Sexual Predator.
Over the course of several years, Hensel sexually molested two children. The crimes were discovered when a child wrote details in a personal journal and lost it. It was found and read and promptly reported. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigated and determined who the first child was. Further investigation discovered the sexual exploitation of a second child.
Hensel admitted his guilt in open court today. The plea agreement prevented the child victims from having to testify at trial.
