Marcus Jansen commissioned by Nicole Scherzinger

New York City born Artist Marcus Jansen—best known as a pioneer for his large-scale, expressionistic paintings of modern urban landscapes—was recently commissioned by Nicole Scherzinger.

Scherzinger, who is most notable as the lead singer of the “Pussycat Dolls.” Jansen created a one of a kind painting for her private art collection in L.A., titled, “AUHEA’ OE / WHERE ARE YOU NOW”, 108×72” oils mixed media on canvas.

Scherzinger flew in from L.A on Memorial Day weekend to visit Jansen’s 7,500 sqft loft studio in Fort Myers in SW Florida to view the artist’s work in progress and to meet the former soldier turned internationally leading painter personally. The 9ft painting once completed will go to L.A.

Jansen was just recently hailed as “one of the most important American painters of his generation” by no other than Art Historian and two-time Documentary Kassel curator Manfred Schneckenburger Ph.D.

His film “Marcus Jansen Examine and Report” by Emmy Award Winning Filmmaker John Scoular will have it’s East Hampton’s premiere at the East Hampton TV Festival July 22.2019 at Guild Hall.
