Lehigh Acres Fire District Special Referendum Election lost by 372 votes with voter turnout 3417 or 6.68% of the 51,117 registered votes in the Lehigh Acres Fire district.
Fire Commissioners spent nearly $200,000 of taxpayer money for this election: $100,000 for the Lee County Elections office plus an addition $100,000 in legal fees for lawyers and consultants.
