A Donna J. Beasley Technical School bus carrying six students and the driver was involved in a crash in Lehigh Acres on Wednesday morning.
It happened at the corner of Leeland Heights Boulevard and Richmond Avenue.
Troopers said the bus was driving on Leeland Heights coming up on Richmond Avenue with an SUV trailing behind.
The bus driver, identified as 52-year-old Manuel Martinez, then made a wide right turn, and the SUV ran into the right side of the bus, troopers said. The bus then crashed into a third vehicle that was stopped at a red light on Richmond.
Authorities identified the driver of the SUV as 23-year-old Iris Guadalupe. Troopers said he was hospitalized with minor injuries and is expected to be okay.
Nobody else was injured.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
