Adult Programs
East County Craft Club: Up-cycled Fashion Jewelry
2 p.m. Saturday, June 1
Learn the art of decoupage and create an earth-friendly fashion bracelet in this fun craft program for adults. All materials will be provided. Registration is required.
Database Showcase: Media and Magazines
11 a.m. Monday, June 3
Enjoy a fun, interactive workshop learning about the library’s online resources. This session features platforms that have music and movies and magazines. Registration is required.
Book Discussion: “Tourist Season” by Carl Hiaasen
3:30 p.m. Monday, June 3
The first sign of trouble is a Shriner’s fez washed up on a Miami beach. The next is a suitcase containing the almost-legless body of the local chamber of commerce president found floating in a canal. The locals are desperate to keep the murders under wraps and the tourist money flowing. But it will take a reporter-turned private eye to make sense of a caper that mixes football players, politicians and one very hungry crocodile.

Bring your fully charged tablets, phones, e-readers, and other digital devices for a hands-on help session. Note: Please bring any passwords you may need for downloading apps. Kindle users will also need an Amazon account and their password for accessing it.

Teen Yoga and Mindful Coloring
1 p.m. Tuesday, June 18
This is a non-judgmental, creative, safe and fun space for teens to grow and learn about themselves through movement and breath. Find ways to improve your coordination, balance and self control. Learn strategies to help deal with the pressures of everyday teen life and increase self confidence and self esteem. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle. After the yoga session, wind down further with a space-themed coloring activity geared toward teens. Registration is required.
Galaxy Art
1 p.m. Tuesday, June 25
Teens entering grades 6-12 are invited to make one of three galaxy art projects including a galaxy on canvas, in a bottle or on a pendant. As with all painting projects things can get a little messy so please wear appropriate clothing. Come and get creative.
Extraterrestrial Teen Movie Matinee

Teens entering grades 6-12 are invited to watch a space-themed movie. Don’t forget to bring snacks to enjoy during the film.
