Trailhead Park is located at 213 David Ave. The adjacent neighborhood loves the idea of Trailhead Park but many of them are upset because they feel the county upkeep at the park has been lacking.
Trailhead Park is the beginning of a larger trail, which leads along Able Canal to Harns Marsh northeast Lehigh Acres.
While the park needs a lot of work according to Pete Simmons, who live near the park. Simmons said it is a great park to walk.
We have complained to the county officials more than once, and they tell me I am not the only one who has called them, Simmons said.
The Lehigh Acres Gazette tried to reach out to the county for a comment and the answer will receive “we are looking into it”.
