Update 12 noon 1/4/2016 Santiago Valdes-Martinez has died of his injuries.
A 2002 Chevy Astro drove by Santiago Valdes-Martinez was traveling north, approaching the stop sign at the intersection of West 6th Street. 2001 Mack Truck drove by Bradley Ammons was stopped westbound at the stop sign on West 6th Street. Mack truck entered the intersection to make a left turn on Williams Avenue. Valdes-Martinez failed to stop at the stop sign violating the right of way for Mack truck. The front portion of Chevy Astro struck the left side of Mack truck. Both Chevy Astro and Mack truck were at final rest in the intersection.
Santiago Valdes-Martinez, 62, is in critical condition at Lee Memorial
