Dominic Salvatore 17-year-old teenager was shot inside his car, leaving one Lehigh Acres neighborhood on the edge of shock.
According to witnesses, bullets flew into a blue car off SR-82 near Fargo Drive just after 2 p.m. Tuesday according to LCSO reports.
According to the report when Salvatore got out of the car he collapsed on the road.
One neighbor told the Lehigh Acres Gazette that he heard up to five gun shots.
The LCSO report also says the Salvatore and a witness were “not initially forthcoming with information” and claimed not to know who was responsible.
Steve Baker said his son’s friend was hit when someone shot at the blue sedan.
Baker said to reporters, as soon as it happened, my son called me. I came down here immediately.
Salvatore was rushed to Lee Memorial Hospital, medical condition unknown at this time.
Nearby residents at the scene said the Lee County Sheriff Office isn’t being forthcoming about any suspects and if the neighborhood is safe.
