The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, began a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study in April 2016 to determine the location and conceptual design of a shared-use pathway from Harns Marsh to Joel Boulevard along the Able Canal, in Lee County. The study will evaluate the placement of a shared-use pathway along the north side of the canal for approximately 5.58 miles. The project is within the community of Lehigh Acres. The study also includes considerations for additional access and connections for pedestrians and bicyclists.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is conducting a project development and environment (PD&E) study for a new pathway within the Able Canal right of way in Lee County. The pathway’s limits are from Harns Marsh to Joel Boulevard (CR-884). The FDOT invites you to attend a Public Kickoff Meeting for PD&E study on Thursday, December 15, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:30 in the evening at the Veterans Park Recreation Center. The Veterans Park Recreation Center is located at 55 Homestead Road South, Lehigh Acres, FL 33936
