It’s that time of the year when the General Woman’s Club of Lehigh Acres starts its new club year. The club has been around for more than 55 years and is still going strong. These ladies meet once a month from September through May to raise funds for scholarships for deserving Lehigh Acres residents and also donate to several non-profit organizations in Lehigh and in Ft. Myers. They also had some fun during summer. Several club members met for lunch and a fashion show at Chico’s at the Bell Tower during the summer as shown in the attached photo. The first meeting of the season is Friday, September 16 at 1:00pm at the Faith Lutheran Church, in the Sweatlock Hall, 705 Leeland Heights Blvd E, Lehigh Acres, Fl. The speaker will be Susan Kostyk of Kostyk Insurance Agency who will speak about insurance for seniors.
