Pellet Gun Shot at School Bus Stop

A father said someone shot a pellet gun at him and his teenage daughter while they were at a school bus stop.

This happened at the bus stop on Alabama Road and Paulcrest Avenue which has sent parents on edge.

The family is worried for their safety and didn’t want to take part in the story, but they said what happened is terrifying.

They called Lee County Sheriff deputies because they don’t want it to happen to anyone else.

The man told deputies they were sitting in their car, waiting for the bus when a pellet from a pellet gun hit the windshield – right in front of where his daughter was sitting.

The person shooting the pellet gun was in another car, driving by, but they didn’t get a make and model.

The pellet didn’t go through the windshield, and no one was hurt.

Junior Francois has two daughters, ages 12 and six, who use the same bus stop.

When the victims were asked if they feel comfortable going back to the bus stop, the father said he doesn’t have a choice. “That’s the bus stop they have to go to every day.”

The family said deputies have followed up with them a few times, but still haven’t caught a suspect.
