The meeting is scheduled Tuesday 26, 2016 at 5:00pm at Fire Station #4 on Sunshine Blvd with room for only 81 people in the two combined meeting rooms. Presbyterian homes are bringing 123 residents on buses to the meeting.
Rafael Chala, the Administrator of the center said, “We are very upset, outrage and disguised by the actions of the Lehigh Acres Fire Board.” He went on the say in the interview, “It seems to us that the Lehigh Acres Fire Board, has no clue about what Presbyterian Homes is or what we provide for our residents.”
Chala also said he has collected over 173 letters to be given to the fire commissioners.
Currently Presbyterian homes has 488 rentals with 613 residents. 22% are Veterans/ First Responders or Surviving Spouses. About 80% are disabled, Age 62-97 with an Average monthly income between $762.84 and $1264.00. And only 45% of the residents receiving rent subsidy.
I hope someone brings the Tar and Feathers. This board need to learn to FEAR the People they work for.
Mr. William the Earl the Hague, on numerous occasions I have asked that you call or email me and you have failed to respond. You are a voter (I assume) and we as Commissions owe you an acceptable explanation and would glad to discuss any subjects that you wish. Once again, call me 674-3744 anything.
I’ve had enough of blaming the Commission, the truth is that 51% of the voting public in Lehigh voted this assessment in place. NOT THE COMMISSIONERS. Personally I thought we could have done something else in order to raise the necessary funds to operate the District, but the voters of LH disagreed with me on that subject. If anyone wants to recollect, I introduced the various exemptions that were finally adopted last year. We weren’t under any obligation to pass these other exemptions, but I never wanted to financially hurt the various people in this community that would be hurt by the assessment. I personally couldn’t stomach that.
Like in anything in life, there is the reality and then there are people that only want to complain just to build their pathetic egos. My only goal running for the Commission was to give back to the Community in which I lived. ON the subject of TAR AND FEATHERS, that should be reserved for the people in our Community that wish to do harm and mayhem, this is where the tar should be applied thick.
I hope my comments will not be censured like they were weeks ago, but none the less if these comments are not approved for publication, I shall issue a PRESS RELEASE within 24 hrs to circumvent that censure.
Mr. Smith,
Thank you for your comments and it is the William the Earl the Hague, not Mr. William the Earl the Hague.
Second your comments on not the board fault and blaming the people on the vote for the Death Threat Tax is weak at best. Did the board not approve the Death Threat Propaganda Campaign (ie “What’s Your Life Worth?”) I believe it did.
It was a simple scare tactic that works on the lazy, and foolish voters that many Dictators use to get their ways.
But a comment or two from a taxpayer seems to get your panties all in a twist. If you do not like the comments I or others make against the board as is our rights under Article 1 Section 4 of the Constitution for Florida then you are in the wrong line of work. In simple word you can understand, Grow Ticker Skin or Quit.
And to conclude, why should we bother calling you? We are having too much fun reading and watching your replies. To bad you are the only one on the Fire Board that is willing to look a fool in the public eye. I give you credit for that. It does bring a smile to our faces when you reply all crazed like.
Anyways, we will see you all soon and look for the Let’s Talk SH!t, Lehigh Acres podcast coming soon. We think one of the first topics will be about the Death Threat Tax & the Dictators of the Fire Board.
Thank you and have a wonderful day.
This should be a good meeting.
