The study on the possibility of incorporating Lehigh Acres may be dead again. It seems that Alain Capaucci the President of the incorporation group in Lehigh Acres may be under investigation by the Florida Ethics Commission an unnamed source has verified to the Lehigh Acres Gazette.
It seems that Capaucci changed and refiled legal documents that incorporated the group from a not for profit (which is required by law) to a for profit identity without his board’s approval. And changed the name from INCORPORATE LEHIGH ACRES, INC to LEHIGH ACRES INCORPORATION.
Also Monday June 20, 2016 Capaucci resigned from the Lehigh Acres Community Council with no reason given.
We reached out to the Florida Ethics Commission and Capaucci and they will not comment on any investigation.
Currently Alain Capaucci is running for Lehigh Acres for Fire Commission.
