A brush fire in Lehigh Acres was started by a vehicle in the middle of a rural wooded area.
The blaze ultimately scorched an acre of land between Abbott and Irving avenues on Wednesday, and all that’s left of the minivan a day later is shattered glass and the skeleton of what used to be a driver’s seat
Investigators say the fire began under the minivan when the driver became stuck in the wooded sandy area.
And because it started about a quarter-mile from the epicenter of a fire that destroyed a home a few weeks ago, neighbors are predictably worried.
Lehigh Fi9re Marshal has labeled the fire accidental but say they’re continuing to investigate.
