Ida Mae Utz, 86, of Winchester, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. She was born on January 3, 1930 in Randolph County, Indiana to Everett Arnold and Esta (Brooks) Cash.
Ida Mae lived in Randolph County until about the age of 45 when she moved to Washington, D.C. to be a nanny for Senator Hartke, where she resided until she met her husband, Harold Utz. They moved to Florida where they resided together until his death. She continued to live in Lehigh Acres, Florida for 22 years. She then decided to return to Winchester, where she completed her journey!
She was a caregiver and attended Freedom Life Church in Winchester. Ida Mae enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting, walking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends
Survivors include her two brothers, George Cash of Winchester and Jay Cash of Quincey, IL; several nieces and nephews; and her two remaining cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Utz; four brothers, Jesse, Noah, Iva and Joseph Cash; and three sisters, Rachel Hotmyer, Brooksie Roberts and Imogene Bow.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Jeff Bullard officiating. Burial will follow at the Reitenour Cemetery in Ridgeville, IN.
