A 17-year-old was arrested Tuesday for killing a teenager in what investigators said was a drug deal gone bad.
Tarozjay Deshun Cherry, of 3705 27th St. SW in Lehigh Acres, will be charged with robbery with firearm and homicide while in the commission of a felony, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.
Cherry faces charges in connection with the killing of Jonthomas Hobbs, 17, who was found dead Sunday night at the intersection of 32nd Street SW and Wanda Avenue after being shot in the shoulder, the sheriff’s office said.
Cherry was arrested in January for robbery and faced charges in 2015 for battery.
Cherry remained in the Lee County jail under no bond.
