Fire officials are investigating how a van caught fire Wednesday night, sparking a one-acre brush fire.
The 50-foot flames were visible near the intersection of East 3rd Street and Irving Avenue around 10 p.m.
Firefighters arrived and quickly put out the blaze and used a bulldozer to eliminate hot spots.
There are no homes on the block where the fire happened.
