Thomas Everett Shipley, age 57, passed away Tuesday April 19, 2016 at Kobacker House. He is the son of the late JoAnn (Hergesell) and Richard Shipley, and the grandson of the late Carl and Marie (Glanzman) Hergesell. He grew up on the east side of Columbus before moving to Dublin. He spent most of his adult life in sunny Florida. Tom loved cheering on Notre Dame and talking politics with his good friends. Tom is survived by sisters Melinda Beebe, Ann (Rod) Buchanan; brother Steve (Sandy) Shipley; nieces, Lyndsey and Kaitlin Beebe, Meghan and Brooke Buchanan; nephews, Kyle, Collin and Kevin Shipley, Matt Beebe, Brett Buchanan; and many special lifelong friends. Family and friends will meet Mass of Christian burial 11am Friday at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 S. High St., on the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery, where burial will follow.
