Each of the last three years at the Lehigh Acres Spring Festival a ride has malfunctioned:
– In 2013 the Ring of Fire broke down injuring 5 children
– A year later the Rage in the Cage sent pieces of metal flying
– Last year 8 people had to be rescued by Lehigh Acres firefighters after the Power Surge got stuck mid-air.
According to Judy Carter with the Lehigh Spring Festival, the committee has entered into a new agreement with a new ride operator this year.
