This is the day that the Lord has made; and He has chosen this time to take His dearest son Nicholas Petruzziello back home to be by His side. Nick is known by his family and friends as a great man of faith; he has served the Lord with tremendous love and conviction for over 40 years. Throughout those years he wore many hats and served in several ministries, most recently as an elder in New Image Ministries where he touched many lives with his smile and hugs. During his early years in New York he was known as a meat cutter, he served in that capacity for many years but eventually became a manager so he could pass on his talent and experience and help develop many others. Nick had too many passions to list simply put he called it LIFE, perhaps one of the most cherished was his love for the beach. The family would spend most of their vacations on Ft Myers beach before they moved here in September of 86’, this has become a time honored tradition by the entire family and will continue in the years to come.
Nick is survived by his faithful wife of 43 years Janet Petruzziello and his three beautiful daughters Nicole and son-law Keith, Felicia, and Vanessa and son in-law John. Nick and Janet have five wonderful grandchildren; Makayla, Nicholas, Gianna, Anthony and Kiara. Nick is the son of Carmine and Josephine the middle of three children; he had an amazing childhood with his loving sister and brother Stella and Steven. Nick had a very extensive family that he enjoyed having around all the time, this past year it’s fair to say the family has laughed hard and long whenever we were with him. It is without question that his zeal for life and family was on display always, he was a character that at times was larger than life. His family will forever be reminded of him no matter where they go or what they do, he has shown them the greatest treasure we hold, it’s our ability to live by faith and love always.Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gendron Funeral & Cremation Services Inc. 2701 Lee Blvd. Lehigh Acres, Fl. 33971.
