Less than forty days until Santa comes to town and a Lehigh Acres family’s house has their lights strung and her tree lit. But along with her decorations, the Grinch arrived early also.
“Someone decided to…egg my house because I put my lights up early,” said Shiela Ramos.
Along with the damage, the vandal left a note reading, “Happy Thanksgiving and Veterans Day. No X-Mas lights. This is ‘Merica.” Luckily, the vandal didn’t break the Ramos’ spirit.
“Because I love Christmas. Christmas is so awesome,” said Ramos.
Like clockwork, lights go up on November 1 at the Ramos’ house each year.
“I love Christmas and I’m going to continue to do it. It’s been in the family, putting up the lights early and I’m gonna keep on doing it,” said Ramos. “Right after Halloween, right away.”
Ramos didn’t file a police report. Instead, she went out and bought cameras, hoping to catch the vandal.
