Lehigh Acres Gazette working to find out more about a teen that was injured as a Lehigh Acres bus stop Thursday morning.
Lee Control confirms that 16-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle around 6:30am near the intersection of 7th Street Southwest and Ichabod Avenue in Lehigh Acres. That’s in the area of Westminster Golf Club.
A witness states that a car was driving on the wrong side of the street and hit the boy, who was described as totally in shock and unresponsive. Lehigh Acres Fire arrived and took the boy and his mother to the hospital.
There’s no word yet on the child’s condition, but his injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
