The female driver of a Toyota Camry was flown to Lee Memorial Hospital is a trauma alert.
The crash happened on Joan Avenue North and Lee Boulevard around 3:30 p.m.
Eye witnesses’ told Lehigh Acres Gazette a Toyota Camry sideswiped another vehicle and crashed into a tree in front of the Tire Kingdom store on Lee Boulevard.
It took the Lehigh Acres Fire Department nearly 30 minutes to extricate the driver from the Camry be use two Jaws of Life to cut the doors and roof off of the car.
Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
