Update 5 pm: The victim was able to get into the ambulance on his own. Witnesses said he was shot in the hand.
People who live nearby are upset that deputies haven’t relayed more information to them.

Reported at 3:40 pm: Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on 21st Street Southwest in Lehigh Acres on Sunday afternoon.
LCSO Deputies expanded the crime scene when a bullet hole was found in the side of a truck three doors north of the initial crime scene.
One person was taken to a local hospital, a deputy said, and added that there was no danger to the public.
Audi Schmidt, who lives next door to crime scene said, “I heard 5 or 6 shots Saturday. They sounded like right outside my window.”
