The News-press is reporting that: The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a series of hit-and-run crashes Saturday that ended when the driver involved rolled his car on Buckingham Road.
A report from the FHP said Justin Bent of Lehigh Acres, was driving a 2015 Toyota RAV4 south on Buckingham Road north of Orange River Boulevard and struck the rear of a 2001 Toyota Corolla driven by Julia Hill of Fort Myers. The report said Bent fled the scene.
After leaving the scene, the FHP said Bent then hit the rear of a 1998 Toyota Supra driven by Beata Kobeszko of Lehigh Acres, and fled the scene of the second crash.
The FHP said Bent then hit the rear of a third vehicle, a 2008 Ford F350 driven by Jesus Ruelas of LaBelle. Bent again fled the scene.
Bent then drove south on Buckingham, failed to take a curve and overturned.
Bent received minor injuries. None of the other drivers was hurt. The FHP is investigating.
