Murder Suspect Previously
Released On Bond

Byran Omar Hyde

Lehigh Acres Gazette has learned Brian Omar Hyde, the illegal alien accused of murdering three people in Lehigh Acres last week, was released on a bond set by a federal immigration judge January of this year.

Last week ICE officials announced Hyde crossed illegally through the Mexican border with Texas back in January.

On Tuesday, ICE officials told the Lehigh Acres Gazette that Hyde was stopped by an agent shortly after crossing the border. He later appeared before an immigration judge in Texas.

Because his name was never entered into an international database by officials in Belize, immigration officials say Hyde was not a known fugitive and was released on bond.

Rumor has it, Hyde was trying to seek asylum in the U.S., claiming his life would be in danger if he was ever sent back to Belize.

Last week, Lehigh Acres Gazette uncovered Hyde was a suspect in a double murder case in Belize back in 2013. Police say Hyde is a suspect in a robbery of a cell phone store in the country’s capital city.

Hyde was arrested back in November after officials in Belize say he assaulted a Police officer. Hyde’s trial was set to start around the same time he entered the U.S. illegally.

Hyde is still in the Lee County jail on three murder charges, and one charge of killing an unborn child. He’s due back in criminal court in September.
