Joe Pearson the CEO of Healthy Harvest Community Farms Scavenger Hunt/Adventure Race was such a great success. Pearson stated of course he wanted to thank Melissa, Steve Knot and the staff at Mirror Lakes Golf Club for hosting and being so accommodating with the torrential downpour that moved our event to the inside for the kickoff.
Next was Beefs Lehigh which provided the nuclear wing challenge at their location. Then was volunteer/he’s fiancée Dawn Houser at The American Eagle Mortgage Co, at our new farm with the horseshoe toss and provided prizes. Next stop was with Jose V. Caez and Habitat for Humanity in N Ft Myers which added a trivia challenge, and then they moved to downtown Ft Myers where Jennifer Wood with the Law Offices of Antonio Faga provided a corn hole challenge.
Then of course we had our own fitness instructor and volunteer Teresa Lynn at the mall. Then teams headed south our contestants headed to Haneys Cafe where Tammy Jones put them through a sprint challenge, and finally Rebecca and the trainers at Around the Clock Fitness Alico at the new Alico location administered the final fitness challenge.
The winners who definitely made it a race around the county were Justin Guess, Karina Borgia and Lauren Guess better known as team WTF (where’s the finish).
Next event is August 22nd our 2nd annual 5k run/walk.
