There was a peaceful protest at Wal-Mart store in Lehigh Acres. Nearly 100 people and 50 trucks and cars showing the Confederate flag were Wal-Marts parking lot on Sunday July 19, 2015.
Instead of asking what the issue was the Wal-Mart management called the Lee County Sheriff Office. Six officers showed up and demanded the protest to disperse.
Amendment 1 of the United States Constitution states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Was this a case of corporate bigotry today in Lehigh Acres?
If they were on private property, they don’t have any right to gather there. That is illegal. It’s called loitering.

They need to take the protest to their own property.
Mrs. Joan before you say it is loitering look up fl statue 856.021 sub section 1+2. Wal-mart is a private company but due to them being open to the public 24/7 except holidays it is considered a public place. If it was private property there would signs posted saying private property or no trespassing.

We were not there for any peaceful protest. There isnt another parking lot big enough for all of my family to fit so we used Walmart parking lot waiting while the rest of my family to get there so we could all cruise down to Famous Dave’s for lunch. Not one family member talked to a cop, I talked to the managers of Walmart and they asked us to leave. I waited for 20 minutes while the last few people showed up and getting everyone together and we headed for our destination. This has nothing to do with the shooting. I have been doing flag meets at wallmart for over 2 years before all this stuff on the news started. Walmart is just upset because of the money they lost. There is just one thing everyone needs to do, learn their heritage and stop hating for heritage they don’t understand and assume they might know something through someone else. ~Heriatge Not Hate~
Heritage not hate is a cop out. The flag represents hate. There is no if ands or buts. I’m from the south, and my heritage is religion, food, family, good times, and southern respect and hospitality. The flag represent racism. You drive around because you know it while get people upset. You are purposely trying to aggravate people! Germans don’t wave the nazi flag and claim it’s heritage. The swastika didn’t kill people, but what it stood for was an awful message. You’re just not smart enough to see it. I feel bad for you and your family and will be praying for all of you. I hope you are forgiven in the lords eyes. Also, you just admitted that you stayed on Walmart property 20 minutes after you were asked to leave. You broke the law and should have been given a ticket. All of you haters should have been given one. You are racist. I hope you will learn to accept.

Well put DJ! But I think what Walmart needs to realize is that their big profits come from hardworking honest people. It’s plain to see and sad at the same time that people are so narrow mind by ignorance.
And Ms. Joan, had one of the family members walked into Walmart and purchased something, it is no longer consider loitering. We had a lot of members yesterday that could have made them a lot of money. It’s too bad for them.

Seriously? Using the word “bigotry” for a corporation like Walmart? What type of spin are you trying to put on us? What is it that you are really trying to say, because I”d like to know? Have you ever walked into a Walmart and looked around? How many different types of people work there? How many different types of customers are in there? Also, I’m part German and I don’t wave a Nazi flag around. Yes, it is part of history and that is where it belongs. Confederate flag is also part of history. Please, put it where it belongs.
