Arts of the Inland Featured Artist of the Month at Lehigh Regional Medical Center

Best of Show winner Maureen G. Hahn’s acrylic piece titled “Michael on Perdido”

Maureen G. Hahn is the featured artist for the month of July at Lehigh Regional Medical Center Cafe’, 1500 Lee Boulevard, Lehigh Acres. Stop in the Cafe’ Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. to see Maureen’s beautiful artwork.

Ms. Hahn is a member of Arts of the Inland (AOI),  lives in LaBelle  and has been interested in art since she was in high school.  She likes to draw as well as paint, changing from oil painting to acrylic painting about twelve years ago.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she moved to Pensacola, FL in 1957 where she took Art courses and Fashion Drawing courses at Pensacola Jr. College.  She moved to LaBelle in 2002 and currently takes lessons from her daughter, Megan Kissinger, who teaches at Riverbend Estates each Thursday.  Megan convinced her Mother to change from oils to acrylics.  Now that she is retired, her main hobby is painting and most of her work is seascapes or water scenes.

Her children grew up on Perdido Bay in Pensacola so a lot of her paintings reflect the fun the kids had on the water. Maureen’s acrylic painting titled “Michael on Perdido” won Best of Show at the AOI Perceptions Art Show in 2014.  She also paints a lot of Irish & Scottish cottages.  Painting in her daughter’s class each week with other ladies, is her favorite activity away from home.

Arts of the Inland is a 501(c)3 public charity nonprofit umbrella arts organization supporting the Visual, Literary and Performing Artists in the inland communities of south Florida.  For further information contact: artsinland@gmail.com or 239-303-5849.
