The Lehigh Acres Fire Board is forcing Hope Hospice to pay over $9000 dollars in Fire Assessments but Hope Hospice is a wholly tax exempt organization.
“We are disappointed by the prospect of the added expense of the Fire Fee Assessment, as that funding would be diverted from Hope Hospice patient care,” said Samira K. Beckwith, President and CEO, Hope Hospice.
Hope Hospice cares for more people than ever before through a growing number of programs, Hope Hospice remain focused on the needs and choices of each person. Every program, every service we provide, everything we do at Hope has a common focus: quality of life. Each member of our Care Team answers one all-important question everyday: “What more can I do to help the person in my care have a better day?”
Hope Comfort Care – care management and support for those with serious illness
Hope Connections – home-based care for independent living, Glades and Hendry counties
Hope Hospice – comfort and support for individuals with life-limiting illness and their families
Hope Kids Care – help for children and families coping with grief or serious illness
Hope PACE – all-inclusive medical care, meals and transportation
Hope Parkinson Program – resources, education and groups

So which of above program(s) funds will be diverted from Hope Hospice patient care to pay the Fire Fee Assessment?
