The Chamber of Commerce for the last 3 years has been using a logo on their website, this logo is from the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals or FACP without their knowledge.
It was 2012 when the Chamber pay their last dues to use this organizations and in 2013 the FACP drop them for not renewing their membership but the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce has continue to use the logo on their website without permission.
So is this unethical behavior or just a stupid mistake of it leadership that the people the Lehigh Acres need to be aware of.
Now the Chamber has had poor attendance at meetings, has canceled events, and even won’t participate with the Spring Festival what the honorary mayor’s race. So what’s really going on with an organization that should be promoting Lehigh Acres, Lehigh Acres and Lehigh Acres?
Is it time for new leadership and new blood in this organization? How important is the community of Lehigh Acres to the Chamber?
Also now the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce has threatened to start a new logo for this community of Lehigh Acres or should the Chamber just leave the existing iconic logo be and work out the NO COST deal with Cherokee Publishing and Media Group, the parent company of the Lehigh Acres Gazette which now owns the trademark logo.
Update to this story: The Chamber as of 7 p.m. Wednesday April 29th has removed the logo of the FACP off their website, but still has contacted Cherokee Publishing and Media Group over the logo issue.
