A Lee County Sheriff’s deputy is in the hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed on a call Monday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.
Public Information Officer Scott Lineberger says the deputy’s injuries are not life-threatening.
Lineberger tells the Gazette, deputies went to a disturbance call at 706 Arianne Court at 6:20 a.m. That’s off Maple Avenue South.
Right now, one person is in custody, Lineberger said, there is no danger to the community.
