Saturday night, February 14th, Lehigh Acres Masonic Lodge #344 held a special Valentine’s Day dinner. It was to honor the wives of Masons past and present. The dinner was open to members of the community.
In the dining hall there was a delicious meal of baked ziti with sausage, garlic bread, and salad. There were plenty of cookies, candy, and cupcakes, as well as a marble cake for dessert.
Afterwards, everyone convened to the lodge room for a presentation where a speech was given by Secretary Paul Goehle detailing the origin and history of Valentine’s Day. At the end of the evening, Worshipful Master Daniel Akard presented a red rose to each and every lady that was present.
It was a great time for all he came.
The lodge hopes to have other events open to the public in the future.
