After several teenagers were attacked and robbed last week at Veterans Park in Lehigh Acres, LCSO has stepped up its patrol in the area.
On foot and in patrol cars, Lee County deputies saturated Veterans Park Friday afternoon. Residents say the added security started last week after several teens were attacked in the park.
“It’s nice to know that our law enforcement is stepping up and keeping our park safe,” said Tim Smith.
Last week, several teenagers were brutally attacked and robbed at the park. Deputies arrested three teens for the attack on a 14-year-old, but say they are still investigating two other incidents.
“It’s scary because my family lives in this neighborhood,” said Smith.
