Together they owned and operated Paul Brittain Builders, Inc., and later Brittain’s Kitchen café. Joan was a member of St. Anselm’s Episcopal Church in Lehigh Acres and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer for her favorite hockey team, the Florida Everblades!
Joan is survived by her husband of 51 years, Paul Brittain; children Stephen (Dale) Brittain of Fort Myers; Joani (Norm) Albert of Chantilly, Virginia; Gary (Patricia) Brittain and Susan Brittain Amari of North Fort Myers. She was the proud grandmother of Adam, Amanda, Joshua, Chase, Taylor, and Sarah, and great grandmother to Layla.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Fri., Feb. 20, 2014 from 3-7pm at Anderson-Patterson, 2701 Lee Blvd., Lehigh Acres. Burial will be held privately at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
