Lehigh Acres man was killed Monday night when he walked into the path of a car on Lee Boulevard.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Amilkar Mayea was trying to cross the road at Joan Avenue North at 9 p.m.
He walked into the path of a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven by Gladys Estevez of Fort Myers.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say the intersection does not have a crosswalk.
No charges are being filed in the incident.
