According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Cyber High-Tech Crime Task Force, Carlos A. Londono was arrested on ten counts of possession of child pornography
Londono worked in the Information Technology Department at Varsity Lakes Middle School.
Agents of the FDLE served a search warrant at Londono’s home and seized a number of digital devices. Their search they say turned up a large number of child pornography videos and photographs.
Varsity Lakes Middle School principal Daman Essert sent a message to parents that there is no indication the alleged activity involved any students and Londono did not work in a capacity that would place him in proximity to students. They do not believe that district equipment was used for this alleged activity.
According Lee County Schools Londono has been fired from his position.
FDLE expects other charges will be filed against Londono.
