Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a masked gunman who robbed the Family Dollar store in Lehigh Acres around 7:30 p.m. last night, January 7th.
According to detectives, a tall male, of unknown race, dressed in all black and donning a black ski mask, walked into the store, located at 1111 Homestead Road, in the early evening hours and immediately approached the cashier. The suspect pulled out a black, full sized semi-automatic pistol and ordered the employee to put all the cash from the register into his bag. In fear for his life, the cashier complied and the suspect took off on foot, headed west bound, with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as 6’2” with a thin build. Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect, or who may have seen anything suspicious in that area around 7:30 last night, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
