Sunset was found in Lehigh Acres this afternoon, in pretty rough shape.
She was found on the side of the road in Lehigh Acres, near Buckingham and Sunset Roads.
Gulf Coast Humane Society (GCHS) say’s Sunset was used for fighting.
Sunset is known as a bait dog, which is a dog used to train other dogs to fight.
It is an unfortunate reality that dog fighting is happening, and it’s happening in our own backyard, according to GCHS.
Lee County Domestic Animal Services is currently investigating this cruel and senseless act, according to GCHS.
The GCHS is doing everything they can to not let the sun go down on Sunset. She has a 50 -50 chance to make it through the night
